Spring is in the air, the bunnies are bouncing around Goldshire and the orphan children are following you everywhere you go. It's a great time to be playing WoW! So where are you?

To say the least, attendance has been pretty darn low since the patch. It's understandable that for some it's the end of the school year and finals time. If you are unable to log in for raids please post in the forums (you won't be punished) so we can keep track of who's still around or who's on hiatus. I've personally been pretty busy these last few weeks myself.

Recruitment: The Oroborus Wants You!
For those of you who have been logging on, kudos! We're going to need everyone's help for recruitment. Even if you're not an officer, you can post on the realm forums, in trade chat or general that The Oroborus is recruiting. Just direct anyone interested to our Web site or to an officer. We are specifically really looking for holy paladins, resto shamans and resto druids, but we will be accepting applications from all classes.

You can access it through the "Forums" link on the left sidebar or go to http://www.forums.theoroborus.com/. Eventually, we will be swapping out the original "Forum" link for this new one. So if you have any threads you would like moved to the new forum, now is the time to copy and paste that content.

Can't see a link for any forum? You probably have never adjusted your rank on the Web site when you signed up. Underneath your name after you log in there is a title. It should say "Social" or "Raid Main." If it says "Useless persons" or anything weird like that then you need to fix it. Click on the link that says "Wrong?" and request the correct ranking. One of the officer will approve it for you.

If you have any questions at all send a tell to an officer in game.

Growth
Wow how our guild is growing and improving! We have been making serious progression in all aspects.

We are (as of this posting) ranked 27th of all raid guilds on the server, and 16th of all Alliance guilds. Now that is something to be proud of, let's keep it up!

Rotating Co-GM Position

Some changes are coming, and we are starting to focus on bringing our guild back to its high end raiding status. I want to let everyone know exactly what was discussed, and decided. I expect some will be unhappy, but I am also aware that I am unable to please everyone all the time.

Ranks Removals -

Class leader and Class leader ALT is gone, completely. Personally I have always felt the position caused unnecessary drama and popularity contests. The previous class leaders are now all simply officers.

Rank Additions -

Raid Assistant has been added, this person will have the dkp addon, and ability to add/remove dkp in raids, help with raids and fully expected to understand the fights to the point of being able to lead them if no officer/typical raid leader is available to do so.

Rank Changes -

CO-GM, This rank will be used completely differently from now on. It will be a rotating rank. Every member of the guild will be able to put their name forward on a forum post (not posted yet). The officers will pick the person, and that person will be Co-GM for a month. You will be able to view officer chat, vote on things, put your word in on topics discussed, and overall be able to add your opinion to the officer pool. changing it monthly will allow the average member a chance to make sure their opinion is heard actively, and also to maybe prove themselves as a possible officer choice for the future.


Raid Main -

Raid mains will need to be chosen before too long. Your raid main will have Bid rights over a social and alternate ranked person during a raid. Raid mains bid first because that person has selected that class to gear up without changing continuously which slows raid progression.

DKP -

DKP has just about decayed utterly. I will not be resetting dkp, if you still have dkp after being reduced to 1% of your original, then you earned it. DKP At this exact moment is being given as 5 dkp per epic drop, and bids start at 5 and move forward as 5 dkp.

Rules and Regs -

Will be reviewed, and rewritten as necessary, when its been completed I will expect them to be followed clearly. The rules will apply to everyone the same way. Officers etc will not have better loot rules, or any other of that nonsense, in fact they have worse ones. Everything should be fair, and If you think something is not fair, let me know now as i work on them. Rules will not be changed often unless necessary later.
